In 2022, Shane and Katie realized their lifelong dream of starting Wagging Tails Pet Shop. Their vision began in 2015 when they met and eventually discovered their shared passion for business ownership. With Katie's extensive experience in various pet roles (listed below), it was a natural choice to launch their retail pet store in Colchester, CT where she previously managed PetValu.

- Former owner of a doggy daycare business in Florida
- Kennel Manager in Avon, CT
- Practice Manager at a Vet Hospital in Deep River, CT.
- Groomer and Manager of PetValu in Cromwell + Colchester, CT
Katie's expertise in the pet industry, combined with Shane's background in sales and marketing for large corporations, provided the perfect foundation and industry knowledge for the successful launch of Wagging Tails Pet Shop!
